Adult Dentistry - Dental Services

We take our examinations very seriously. In addition to making sure your teeth and gums are healthy, we also routinely screen for problems involving your temporomandibular joint (TMJ), tension/ tenderness in muscles of mastication and lymph nodes in your neck. Additionally, an oral cancer screening is part of every exam.

In addition to classic “hand scaling,” we utilize an ultrasonic scaler in all of our cleanings. We can often do a more thorough job than was possible with old techniques, while being far gentler on your gums and teeth.

Digital Radiography

By using digital sensors we can use a fraction of the radiation that traditional dental radiographs require. Additionally, our panoramic images allow us to see almost everything we need to see in in one easy picture as opposed to the 20+ small pictures taken by other offices. The resulting radiation exposure from a whole new set of images is roughly equivalent to the background radiation dose from living in Bozeman for less than a week.

Invisalign Invisible Braces

Whether you stopped wearing your retainers years ago and your teeth slumped back to their old ways, or you have never had braces before and just want straight teeth now, Invisalign can be a great option to getting that perfect smile without all the metal and wires. Please visit the Invisalign Website for more information.

Periodontal Evaluations & Therapy

We can diagnose any active periodontal disease and slow the progression of periodontal bone loss with deeper cleanings. Occasionally, antibiotics or surgical therapy are necessary. We will evaluate and discuss your options to help you make the best choices to maintain optimal periodontal health.

In-Office Power Whitening and At Home Whitening

Are you ready to brighten your smile? We offer different whitening options depending on your desires and time requirements.

Root Canal Therapy

Often the best treatment option for a painful tooth due to damage from decay or a crack.

Sedation Dentistry

We offer a variety of sedation options depending on your needs, past experiences and dental procedures that you have chosen. Nitrous oxide (laughing gas), oral sedation, IV sedation and even general anesthesia are all available in our office. (See sedation dentistry)

Night Guards

We work with our dental lab to make the right type of night guard for you, depending on your needs and past experiences. Whether you are looking for one to double as a retainer, stop your clenching, or just protect your teeth from nighttime grinding, we can determine the right type for you.

Sports Guards

A little prevention can go a long way . . . protect your teeth while you participate in the sports you love. We work with our lab to produce custom sports guards either in clear or in a variety of colors and patterns.

Dentures & Partials

We can restore your smile to its past glory in just a few easy appointments. We can also integrate implants into new or existing dentures for additional retention and stability.

Implants are definitely the best option for replacing missing teeth. A titanium dental implant replaces the missing tooth’s root and we can fabricate a new tooth for missing teeth in the front of back of your smile. We work with oral surgeons and periodontists who surgically place the implants into areas without teeth.

We are able to do most tooth extractions in our office, including wisdom teeth (third molars). Often patients enjoy some type of sedation during extractions. (See sedation dentistry)

We work with a variety of materials depending on your needs and desires. Tooth-colored composite fillings are a good option in many areas and combine strength and esthetics. Silver amalgam fillings can be a good option in back teeth when durability and price are of concern. Porcelain and gold fillings (inlays) are the strongest, most durable options available.

Fine Gold Work

The benchmark for long lasting high quality dental restorations is gold. We work with one of the few labs in the country that is recognized for its exceptional gold work by the Tucker Study Club - the world’s foremost authority on gold dental restorations. We offer inlays (size of filling), onlays (part of tooth), or crowns (whole tooth) depending on your needs.

Porcelain Crowns & Onlays

If you are looking for a natural looking restoration, this is the way to go. We work with a variety of different materials depending on your specific needs.

The tried and true method for replacing missing teeth, we can bring back your complete smile in as little as two dental visits. We also use bridges in conjunction with implants to restore your smile in areas of multiple missing teeth.

Discolored, crooked or misshapen teeth are all reasons you may want to update your smile with these thin porcelain facings.

Special Needs Patients

Patients with cognitive or physical disabilities can have unique dental needs. We have experience interacting with and treating patients with special needs and we find it very rewarding. Some special needs patients just need some extra attention, while others may require some type of sedation dentistry depending on the severity of their disability. (See sedation dentistry)
